Bringing stories to life as a Writer, Director, Editor, and Cinematographer.

Trills on The Lake

Director. Cinematographer. Editor.

In 2016, I shot, directed, and edited my first personal short film using a Sony a6300 to capture the essence of a trip to the lake. From framing visuals to crafting the final edit on Adobe Premiere Pro, I used this project as a creative outlet to tell a visual story through my own lens—focusing on mood, movement, and meaningful moments. At just 15 years old, I taught myself how to operate a camera, string together clips, add special effects, and color grade, showcasing my ability as a quick learner.

Writer. Director. Cinematographer. Editor.

In 2019, I was apart of The Austin School of Film’s Short Film Production Program. I wrote, directed, shot, and edited my first original short film, Chasing Charlie Elliot, within a fast-paced 4-week timeline, taking full ownership of the creative process from start to finish. This project introduced me to a wide range of skills—story development, cinematography, directing actors, and post-production—all of which I taught myself along the way. I navigated each stage with curiosity and determination, learning how to bring a vision to life through visual storytelling. I created a script on Final Draft, then bought my first Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera. I hired a crew and scouted locations, then shot the film RAW. I downloaded Adobe Premiere and taught myself everything from square one — editing, sound mixing, color grading — you name it. It was a crash course in filmmaking that pushed me to grow quickly, problem-solve creatively, and gain confidence in my voice as a filmmaker.

Heaven vs. Hell

Key Editor

In 2023, I joined UCSB’s professional film society, Delta Kappa Alpha. Our first project was a “24-hour short film festival.” We had to write, shoot, and edit a short film in just 24 hours with specific directions. As a challenge, we had to follow a theme and genre and include certain props/dialogue.

I served as the key Editor, working under intense time pressure to deliver a polished final cut. I spent 8 consecutive hours in the library logging footage, selecting the best takes, and building a seamless edit in Premiere. I followed the script closely while carefully selecting shots and cutting between angles to maintain visual flow and narrative clarity. I also balanced audio and layered music to enhance the story. Despite the high-stakes timeline, I overcame technical and creative challenges to deliver a complete, cohesive film on deadline.

**Please note that I did not create the title card, nor the lower thirds.
